About this site
Seeing as we're going hard for an upgraded democracy, it seemed wrong to try to increase our reach with Facebook, X, or the like. It's pretty clear now that these platforms are part of the problem. So to maintain our high standards of moral purity we invested some of our meagre volunteer cash in an actual website. Welcome. You can contact us here and sign up for a newsletter. Give it a try!
We'll do our best to provide engaging messages and articles connecting proportional representation to northern issues you care about. Fair warning. Not all of us went to journalism school but the good news is we are passing the savings on to you. We ask that you manage your expectations accordingly.
When you sign up you'll get access to the full archive of everything that's been published before and everything that's still to come.
Our Operations Team
This is the crew of people who contribute to this site, organize events, and generally put themselves about for the cause.
Jeremy Flatt - Founder
Jeremy has lived in Yellowknife since 2010 and is know variously as the former owner of the Fat Fox Cafe, someone who likes to pretend he's architect in work calls, or the guy who posts pictures of himself posing on the hood of his little white electric car. Jeremy is an avid fan of proportional representation and a great believer in the living nature of democratic systems. He has a degree in politics from the University of Exeter, likes the idea of camping, and may be a better or worse guitar player than he thinks he is depending on the time of day.
