Seeing as we're going hard for an upgraded democracy, it seemed wrong to try to increase our reach with Facebook, X, or the like. It's pretty clear now that these platforms are part of the problem. So, to avoid any blemish on the sparkling surface of our moral political purity, we invested a modest sum of money in an actual website/newsletter thing. Welcome. You can contact us here and you can sign up to support us or just to receive entertaining and informative messages from time to time.
We'll do our best to provide engaging stories connecting proportional representation to northern issues you care about. Fair warning. Not all of us went to journalism school but the good news is we are passing the savings on to you.
Give it a try! You can always do a Justin Trudeau and bail if things aren't going your way.

This is our regular crew who you'll see around town at events, handing out flyers, maybe wearing a T-shirt with something clever on it.
Jeremy Flatt
Jeremy has lived in Yellowknife since 2010 and is known variously as one of the owners of the now demolished Fat Fox Cafe, someone who likes to pretend he's an architect over the phone, or the guy who takes pictures of himself posing on the hood of his little white electric car. Jeremy is an avid fan of proportional representation and a great believer in the living nature of democratic systems. He has a degree in politics from the University of Exeter, likes the idea of camping, and may be a better or worse guitar player than he thinks he is depending on the time of day.
Eli Purchase
Thespian, policy nerd, demonstrator of beard styles, and veteran supporter of proportional representation, Eli has the distinction of being the person to challenge a recently elected Justin Trudeau during a visit to Yellowknife about his now infamous decision to abandon the promise of electoral reform. What's more he managed to clap back expertly when JT lazily belched out his usual guff about Nazi parties holding the balance of power. A lesser man would have lost his cool but not Eli.
Molly Milligan
Snowboarding coach, realtor, dependable bringer of enthusiasm, Molly might have sold you a house. Now she's helping us to sell you a brighter and more democratic future where every vote counts!
Ben Karstad
Impressively tall and amply bearded champion of civility, trombonist, and Jiu-Jitsu aficionado. Ben is a compelling and articulate speaker on matters of democracy and civil society and a snappy dresser to boot. When he's not performing with the Ragged Ass swing band or wriggling around on the floor with other colorfully-belted men in a who-can-you-beat-up contest, you might just find him at our info table sporting some tie-dye or a fish-net jacket, serving up knowledge.

It should come as no surprise that there are many learned and distinguished persons of different political stripes from across the NWT who support the switch to a system of proportional representation in Canada's federal elections. We are very lucky to have access to their wisdom as we explore the connections between our federal electoral system and the political conditions and policies that shape the lives of northerners.
